Request for insurance cover
In certain sectors, special security requirements must be taken into account in construction planning. In jewellery shops, for example, a security gate for entrance control can be an essential requirement for insurance cover.
Development of armoured glass sliding door as an airlock
Turtle Saferooms has developed an automatic sliding door for a listed building with a jewellery shop. The door meets the high requirements for protection against robberies. Two automatic doors that open one after the other serve as a lock. The second security sliding door can only be opened once the main entrance door has been closed again and the person entering has been visually checked. The security glass (colloquially known as armoured glass) of the armoured glass door allows staff to carry out a visual check and grant access at the touch of a button. If an attempt is made to break through the door, the solid steel frame and the safety glass not only provide resistance against break-ins (burglary-resistant), but also against possible firearms fire (bullet-resistant).
Design requirements Jewellery shop
In addition to all security-relevant aspects of the armoured glass sliding door, the customer’s high design requirements were also taken into account. The exclusively designed glass door is not immediately recognisable as a security door and blends harmoniously into the ambience of the exclusive brand world.
